School Communication

Our school apps are our main method of communication with parent(s) / guardian(s).

Our school currently uses Aladdin to ensure that you as the parent/guardian are up to date on all activities concerning your child including classroom activities, sports, music or other after school events and also that you are kept up to date of changes to school day such as external trips, school closures etc.

ALADDIN CONNECT

Our school has launched Aladdin Connect, which is a brilliant way for you to stay connected with our school.  We are pushing to reduce our use of paper while improving communications.  With Aladdin Connect you can

  • Receive push notifications about school events, school closures etc.
  • Keep track of attendances and give reasons for absences
  • Keep your contact details up to date
  • Give consent (sign digital permission slips) for school activities
  • View all school reports held by our school (we will not be issuing paper copies)

There are other benefits of Aladdin Connect which we are looking at developing over time.  If you have not registered with Aladdin Connect, please contact the school to arrange it.  This App will be our primary mode of communicating with our parents/guardians from now on.

We have a school Twitter account which can be viewed from the News section of the website. Here you will find information on classroom activities, school events and achievements.

We have had some questions about the alignment of 6 planets in the night sky tomorrow so we wanted to post some information for anyone who is interested in heading out to have a look. Our blog post is available at http://www.dunsink.dias.ie/category/blog/! #astronomy #planets #planetalignment

A rare planetary alignment which will see six planets line up in a row across the night sky is due to take place from tonight for the first time since 2018

How can your school get involved in Safer Internet Day 2025?
